Every year in relation to the year’s theme, Seoul Lunar Photoselects the Artist of the Year, taking the opportunity

toacknowledge and study artists who have constructed a uniquebody of work that is both sincere and experimental.

This year’swinner is Kang Hong Goo, who have extended the conditions oflife into a problem in the urban landscape

through his workssuch as “The Novice,” “Mickey’s House,” “Eunpyeong NewTown.” In the Ryu Gaheon exhibition hall,

the “Hangang” serieswill be displayed in large prints, and during ‘The Night of theMoon and Photography’,

“Eunpyeong New Town” and “GreenResearch” will be screened as photofilms.
